, we will be able to
 use "the keys" and unlock
     what God has for our

answer the call?  If so, we
     won't have room to
           receive them!

A Legacy of Love, Sharing, & Giving

“Jamie,” as he was affectionately called, was the son of Deacon Larry and Barbara R. Doyle.  “Jamie” transitioned into eternal rest in May 2007 following a tragic car accident.  He left behind a legacy of love, sharing, and giving.

In July 2008, God gave Mrs. Jacqueline Hamilton the vision of establishing a scholarship in memory of her neighbor.  She then presented the idea to the family of Larry “Jamie” Doyle, II.  The Doyles were ecstatic to have such an honor bestowed upon their son.  As a memoriam to him, his parents decided to bless a youth of their church who excelled academically in high school.

Maya Rucks, Co-Valedictorian of the 2008 graduating class of Ouachita Parish High School, was selected.  Thus, on August 24, 2008, Maya became the first recipient of the Larry “Jamie” Doyle Athletic Memorial Scholarship-established at Bethel COGIC. Mrs. Hamilton presented the scholarship in the amount of $1000. Maya is continuing her education at Louisiana Tech University.

Brandon Blunt was an honor student-athlete of the 2009 class of Richwood High School. On August 23, 2009, Brandon became the second recipient of the Larry “Jamie” Doyle Athletic Memorial Scholarship. Mrs. Hamilton presented the scholarship in the amount of $1000.  Brandon is continuing his education at Southern University in Baton Rouge.
Charleszette Tyson was an honor student in the 2010 class of Neville High School. On August 29, 2010, Charleszette became the third recipient of the Larry “Jamie” Doyle Athletic Memorial Scholarship. Mrs. Hamilton presented the scholarship in the amount of $1000.  Charleszette plans to further her education at Grambling State University.
We salute Charleszette, the contributors to the fund (family, friends, etc.), Supt. Stevenson, Mrs. Hamilton, and the Doyles for making this project a success!  Let’s keep Jamie’s legacy alive by loving more, sharing with others, and giving to dedicated students.

Please donate to the Larry “Jamie” Doyle Athletic/Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Donations may be mailed to Regions Bank.  If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Jaqueline Hamilton (jacquelinehamilt@bellsouth.net).  Thank you.
